Snow White
The 50's

I actually love fashion from the 20's-50's so this was pretty fun for me.
I wanted to stick with Snow White's color scheme without making it so blocked out. The dress is a pale yellow with navy polka dots and the navy collar shows the interior color of the lining. I matched it up with a navy belt and deep red shoes to tie in the red of Snow White's peek-a-boo color on her original sleeves and bow.
The white pearl earrings and necklace comes from the big white collar of the movie.
The hat had to be added. Women didn't leave the house without a few fashion staples of the day. One of which were hats. Big flowers, feathers, veils... Form fitted to floppy... Hats were in. I liked the concept of a big red flower instead of the simple bow I was going to do since I kept her hair short. A total nod to Audrey Hepburn of the day.
