Cameo - Hungar Games OCT

Name: Cameo Imri

Physical Description: Black hair; Grey eyes (blind in the left one); Nose piercing; Partially deaf in her left ear; Willowy build; Shrapnel scars along left side of face, left arm and leg; Partial use of her left hand - the pinky and ring finger are permanently curled down.

History:
Born in the Capital, Cameo grew up in the  lap of luxury with the renowned Hunger Games as an accepted part of life. Both of her parents and elder brother were staunch supporters of the games and took great pleasure in the yearly betting pools - win or lose. It was during the 74th Hunger Game that Cameo started to feel a bit put off by the idea. She became a fan of Rue's because of how close she was to her in age, and the young tribute's death (as well as, the subsequent reactions) really hit home. Cameo was almost 9 then and shortly after fell back into daily life at the Capital. That is until the revolution tore into her life, changing it forever.
While she survived the fighting, she was not left without scars; both psychological and physical. As one of the refugee children forcibly held at President Snow's mansion, she got a front seat viewing of just how cruel humans could be. Her only saving grace was the Peacekeeper that began to carry her away from the carnage just before the second volley of bombs went off.
Now, years later, she's turned 16 and talk of a final Hunger Game courses through the Capital. With her parents joining the rabble in protest of their new way of "life", she just prayed that her bit of luck held out until after the selection...

Personality:
Withdrawn and doesn't really smile, she's jaded towards most adults that surround her - including her parents and sibling, who constantly talk of how "good" the old days were while whining about their current lives. She likes to observe people now and having adapted to her limitations, she's also learned to manipulate people in order to better serve her own purposes.

Other:
As mentioned before, she was a typical Capital child. However, with everything that happened since the 74th Hunger Games, she's turned her back on how things used to be despite her family's continued desire for it all to be as it was. There is a great deal of strain between them all and it is not unusual for arguments to break out almost everyday.



*I've included two looks for Cameo - her average daily look, which is subdued compared to others of the Capital though still a bit oddball compared to the Districts. The first one is an idea of what her mother would force her into to prepare for possible selection. She looks unhappy for a reason!
