God's Gift

I chose the Nordic Goddess, Idun. The deity of Spring, youth and immortality, she is also that guardian and bearer of the Golden Apples that keep the Norse Gods young. For all of you Loki fans out there, one of his good deeds was rescuing her after she was kidnapped despite him having aged severely.

When designing both pieces, I thought of what I'd like to wear. I'm not a two piece person. Even when I was in good shape. So I went with a golden one piece, embroidered with apple blossoms and accented with more along the strap which is designed to look like a branch.
The dress is a simple tunic dress that gets its contour at the waist from the belt. Nordic Runes would be embroidered on the green ribbons and the arm holes go to the hip.
I dropped in the red stilettos for a bigger pop of color and the apple reference.
