No rest for the wicked...

It's that time of year again.
Where big sisters love to scare their siblings.
Where little brothers enjoy throwing handfuls of gooey, stringy goodness at their sisters.
Where bunny rabbits go crazy and run headlong through piles of pumpkin guts...

Well, okay, maybe that only happens at my house.

As it were, my kiddos finally broke me down and we got out the carving tools and newspaper and got to work. There's nothing like three kids trying to gut pumpkins to make you break out the camera. Needless to say, I ended up doing the finishing work on two of them since my youngest found the innards too slimy to handle (but not to throw at each other...)
With them all hollowed out I let them pick what they wanted and got to work. 2 hours, some soap and water and a few aspirin later...
Taa-Daa!

I used a tea candle for the pictures but I let them pick out colored light sticks to put in them on Halloween. We cut out the bottoms instead of the tops so that we can fit them over the banister knobs on our porch.
